Made in Pittsburgh, PA

An indie studio
forged in black & gold.

Yinzer Games is a one-person studio building No Way Inn — a top-down action rogue-lite with handcrafted boss fights. One frame, one feature, one yinz at a time.

The Studio

Small Studio. Big Ambitions.

Founded in 2023 by James "Jake" Truckle — independent, Pittsburgh-born, and building the kind of game we'd want to play. No publisher mandates, no filler, just craft and a whole lot of yinzer stubbornness.

Built by hand

Designed, coded, and directed by one person. Every system gets the time it deserves — and nothing ships that we wouldn't play ourselves.

Player-first

We build for the people holding the controller — fun, feel, and fairness come before everything.

Pittsburgh roots

Hometown pride baked in. Black and gold isn't just a palette — it's how we work.

In development No Way Inn key art: a cloaked adventurer with a sword approaches a snow-covered inn glowing at the edge of a cliff, a dragon coiled in the mountains behind.

No Way Inn

"Hades meets Death's Door, with a twist that won't let you go."

A top-down action rogue-lite built around handcrafted, souls-like boss fights. A time-fold inn you can't quite leave, and a bronze dragon hiding in plain sight. We're deep in the build and not ready to show everything yet — but we'd love to bring you along as it takes shape.
